Aaron Lewis of the heavy metal band Staind put out a country album. Who knew? I think he did this song justice.

I created this in photoshop and posted it on jbrass.com years ago when Apple was having their “Think Different” campaign. I just came across it and it made me smile so I thought I would re-post it.

Yesterday Amazon announcedAmazon EC2 Spot Instances. From their announcement:

Spot Instances are a new way to purchase and consume Amazon EC2 Instances by allowing you to bid on unused Amazon EC2 capacity and run those instances for as long as your bid exceeds the current Spot Price.

Basically it’s “Pay what you want” or “Name Your own price” for Cloud Computing.

Anyhoo, that gave me the idea to throw together this dashboard to track the Spot Prices. Here is a link. Let me know what you think.
